IN SARDEGNA 1974,2011: al MAN mostra del grande fotografo GUIDO GUIDI

Nuoro, 5 maggio 2019 - Uno sguardo lirico, attento alla sardità si potrà osservare nella nuova esposizione che il Museo MAN di Nuoro propone dal 21 giugno al 20 ottobre 2019, dove verrà ospitata la prima grande mostrain un museo italiano –curata da Irina Zucca Alessandrelli –dal titolo"IN SARDEGNA: 1974, 2011"dedicata a Guido Guidi (Cesena, 1941) uno dei più rilevanti fotografidel secondo dopoguerra, precursore della fotografia di paesaggio molto apprezzata negli anni '70.

La mostra è frutto di un’importante collaborazione tra l’istituzione museale e l’ISRE, Istituto Superiore Regionale Etnografico della Sardegna.Saranno esposte 250 fotografie inedite - commissionategli dall’ISRE - che testimoniano la relazione di Guido Guidi con il territorio sardo.

Un catalogo composto da tre volumi pubblicato da una casa editrice di Londra – MACK BOOKS – documenterà le opere presenti in mostra che sono state ristampate dall'artista.

Un racconto dei mutamenti paesaggistici e antropologici avvenuti in Sardegna dove immagini in bianco e nero degli anni Settanta sembrano colloquiare con leopere a colori degli anni Duemila tra essenzialità, sottili geometrie, spazi lirici come struttura di storia, tradizione, umanità; la costante ricerca del dettaglio e del valore incommensurabile di ciò che è margine, parte di un tutto inafferrabile, un appiglio a quella realtà che il tempo muta.

Tante “micro-storie” che ricamano emozioni nei fruitori e che sanno di origini, di semplicità e di nuove epifanie ed infine inducono riflessioni sulla nostra identità.

“Io non guardo soltanto il paesaggio ma ne faccio esperienza, perché io stesso sono dentro il paesaggio” diceGuido Guidi, e noi faremo tesoro di questa mostra che privilegia l'interiorità del fotografo espressa con quelle "sfumature" del tempo, che ora ci scrutano e sembrano interrogarci sulla capacità di vedere e percepire la bellezza nell'anima della semplicità.

Nuoro, 5 May 2019 - A lyrical look, attentive to Sardinian culture, can be seen in the new exhibition that the MAN Museum of Nuoro on display from 21 June to 20 October 2019, where the first major exhibition will be hosted in an Italian museum - curated by Irina Zucca Alessandrelli - entitled "IN SARDEGNA: 1974, 2011" dedicated to Guido Guidi (Cesena, 1941) one of the most important post-war photographers, a forerunner of landscape photography much appreciated in the 70s.

The exhibition is the result of an important collaboration between the museum institution and the ISRE, Regional Ethnographic Institute of Sardinia: 250 unpublished photographs - commissioned by the ISRE - will be exhibited that testify to the relationship of Guido Guidi with the Sardinian territory.

A three-volume catalog published by a London publishing house - MACK BOOKS - will document the works on display that have been reprinted by the artist.

A story of the landscape and anthropological changes that took place in Sardinia where black and white images of the Seventies seem to dialogue with the color photographs of the 2000s between essentiality, subtle geometries, lyrical spaces as a structure of history, tradition and humanity; the constant search for detail and the immeasurable value of what is margin, part of an ungraspable whole, a foothold in that reality that time changes.

Many "micro-stories" that embroider emotions and that smell of origins, simplicity and new epiphanies and finally induce reflections on our identity.

"I do not only look at the landscape but I experience it, because I am inside the landscape" says Guido Guidi, and we will treasure this exhibition that favors the interiority of the photographer expressed with those "nuances" of the time, that now scrutinize us and they seem to question us on the ability to see and perceive beauty in the soul of simplicity.
